It was a rough day for the Blue Jays’ minor league affiliates, going 1-5 in six games with the Buffalo Bisons having a travel day and the GCL Blue Jays rained out.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Reading Fightin Phils 9
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats got a home run from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. but still couldn’t get much more offense, losing 9-3 to the Reading Fightin Phils. Vlad Jr. was 1/4 with two RBI on the home run while Jon Berti was 2/4 with a solo shot in the ninth. Bo Bichette was on base three times, going 1/3 with a double and two walks, scoring once and Connor Panas was 1/3 with a double and a walk.
Josh DeGraaf started, allowing five runs (three earned) on nine hits (including two home runs), striking out four over four innings. Justin Dillon came on to give up four runs on three hits (including a home run) and two walks, striking out one over three innings. Danny Young finished the game, allowing two hits but no more runs in the eighth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Lakeland Flying Tigers 8
The Dunedin Blue Jays had a 7-1 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning in Lakeland but the Flying Tigers chipped away with four runs in the seventh and another two in the eighth to tie the game, eventually winning in the bottom of the 10th to take the 8-7 walk-off victory. Zach Logue kept the Tigers in check, tossing six strong innings, giving up just one run on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Anderson Nunez allowed three runs on two hits and a walk in 1/3 of an inning and William Ouellette finished the seventh but gave up another run on two hits (including a solo home run). Juliandry Higuera gave up a hit to the only batter he faced and Ty Tice allowed that runner to score, giving up a run of his own over two innings, allowing a pair of hits and a walk with two strikeouts. Jackson McClelland allowed the winning run to score in the 10th without giving up a hit, getting a sac bunt and a strikeout before throwing a wild pitch that gave the Flying Tigers the win.
Alberto Mineo was 3/4 with a double, a single and a home run while Kevin Smith was 2/5 with two runs and a stolen base. Kacy Clemens was 1/4 with a walk and two RBI on a double while Ivan Castillo also drove in a pair with a double.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Cedar Rapids Kernels 0
Jordan Barrett was dominant for the Lansing Lugnuts as they shut out the Cedar Rapids Kernels 2-0 in a day game on Monady. Barrett tossed seven shutout frames, giving up just two hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Dalton Rodriguez pitched a perfect eighth and Dany Jimenez saved it with a hitless ninth, walking one and striking out one.
The offense was quite for the Lugnuts but Samad Taylor was 2/4 with a triple and Brandon Grudzielanek was 2/4 with a run. Ryan Gold remained hot, going 2/4 with an RBI and Chavez Young was 1/3 with a double, a walk and a run.

Vancouver Canadians 3, Hillsboro Hops 6
Josh Winckowski was on the mound for the Vancouver Canadians and he was hit often as the Hillsboro Hops beat the Canadians 6-3. Winckowski allowed 10 hits over four innings, leading to five runs (three earned) with one walk and three strikeouts as his record fell to 2-4. Denis Diaz gave up an unearned run on three hits with one strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings of relief and Will McAffer walked two and gave up a hit but no runs scored as he struck out two in 1 1/3 innings. Connor Law walked one in the ninth.
Vinny Capra was 2/5 with two RBI and Hunter Steinmetz was 2/4 with a triple and a run. The Canadians had just two more hits on the day, a single from Jesus Severino and a double from Christopher Bec who also walked and scored.

Bluefield Blue Jays 3, Pulaski Yankees 6
The Bluefield Blue Jays couldn’t quiet the bats of the Pulaski Yankees, surrendering three home runs and losing 6-3. Claudio Galva allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits (including a home run) and one walk with two strikeouts in five innings, taking his first loss of the season. Adams Cuevas struck out six in three innings, but gave up two solo home runs among three hits. Grant Townsend struck out two in the ninth.
Luis De Los Santos was 2/4 with a triple and two RBI to lead the offense while D.J. Neal was 1/3 with a walk and a run. Dom Abbadessa was 1/3 with a run and Davis Schneider and Jose Theran each had a single.

GCL Blue Jays, GCL Phillies East
Game postponed due to rain.
DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL D-backs1 8
The DSL Blue Jays had just four hits, losing 8-4 to the DSL D-backs1. Hanley Acevedo was on base three times, however, going 2/3 with a walk, an RBI and a run. Pedro Hurtado was 1/3 with a run and Kenny Mauricio was 1/4.
Santos Moreno started, allowed three runs on five hits with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Pedro Padilla couldn’t retire anyone, walking three batters in a row, then hitting a batter, getting charged with two runs on three walks. Jose Brito relieved him, throwing an inning, and getting charged with three runs (one earned) on three walks while also throwing three wild pitches and striking out two. Pedro Guzman allowed a hit and struck out two in 1 1/3 innings and Sergio Leon allowed a hit and a walk with two strikeouts in the ninth, making his season debut.
