A Blue Jays presence in Amsterdam

Blue Jays from Away is written and edited by Blue Jays blogger Jay Blue. Dr. Blue (not that kind of doctor) is a longtime Blue Jays fan who has lived in the US and in Europe. Started as a way of keeping tabs on his hometown Blue Jays while living in Europe, Blue Jays from Away has grown to become the most in-depth Toronto Blue Jays minor league site.

Jay Blue is a full-time professional musician and ethnomusicologist (with a PhD) who indulges his other passion, baseball, on this site. Dr. Blue has written academic articles in peer-reviewed journals, performed on stages throughout Canada, the US, and Europe and has had his music played on radio and TV on four continents.

Jay Blue is the author of the Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Handbook, available yearly at Blue Jays from Away.

Emily is a Communications student who grew up with a Roy Halladay poster on the back of her door. A baseball history nerd, she played softball for nine years and changes her favourite Blue Jay on a regular basis. She fondly remembers going to her first Jays game at age six with her father, and spending the whole time staring at the elevators going up the CN Tower.

Wesley James is the newest writer at Blue Jays from Away. He comes to our staff from the Sports Journalism program at Centennial College and brings a love of baseball and music to the table!

Shaun Doyle is a long time Blue Jays fan and writer! He decided to put those things together and create Jays From the Couch. Shaun is the host of Jays From the Couch Radio, which is highly ranked in iTunes, and he has appeared on TV and radio spots.
