With remnants of a hurricane sweeping through Florida and the northeast, only one game was played as the Vancouver Canadians lost on Wednesday.

Vancouver Canadians 8, Everett AquaSox (SEA) 9
While the Vancouver Canadians (48-56) eked out a 9-8 win on Tuesday, the Everett AquaSox picked up a win by the same score on Wednesday.
Third baseman Tanner Morris was swinging a hot bat, going 3/3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs, also hitting a sac fly. Spencer Horwitz was 2/3 with a home run, a double, two walks, two RBI and two runs. Philip Clarke was 2/5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run while Rafael Lantigua was 2/5 with a home run, an RBI, a run and two stolen bases. Sebastian Espino was 2/5 with a double and an RBI and Zac Cook was 2/4 with a double and a run. Not to be outdone in the power game, Orelvis Martinez homered in his second consecutive game, giving him eight with Vancouver and 27 on the season, going 1/5 with the solo blast.
Righty Alejandro Melean made his debut with Vancouver and was hit hard, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits (one HR) with three walks and three strikeouts. Willy Gaston surrendered two more runs on three hits (one HR) and two walks, striking out two in 1 2/3 innings. Gabriel Ponce also gave up two runs on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings and Thomas Ruwe struck out two in the eighth.
