July 27, 2021 Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Report

Rain kept the Buffalo Bisons and New Hampshire Fisher Cats from playing.

The top two minor league teams in the Toronto Blue Jays’ system were rained out on Tuesday and the remaining teams went 1-3.

Vancouver Canadians 6, Spokane Indians (COL) 8

Despite 13 runs and six hits, the Vancouver Canadians (33-40) lost 8-6 to the Spokane Indians.

Philip Clarke was 2/5 with a tripe and a home run, driving in two runs and scoring one. Wil Robertson was 2/5 with an RBI and Ryan Gold was 2/4 with an RBI and two runs. Spencer Horwitz was 2/5 with an RBI and a run and Tanner Morris was 2/4 with a walk. Luis De Los Santos was 1/5 with a run while Santiago Espino was 1/3 with two walks and a run. Ronny Brito was 1/5 with an RBI.

Nick Fraze started, going three innings and gave up a run on three hits (one HR) wiht a walk and four strikeouts. Brandon Eisert took over, going 2 1/3 innings and allowing three runs on four hits (one HR) with a walk and Will McAffer gave up two runs on five walks in 2/3 of an inning. Parker Caracci allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk with one strikeout. Hagen Danner came in for the eighth, walking one and striking out three.

Dunedin Blue Jays 11, Bradenton Marauders (PIT) 6

The Dunedin Blue Jays’ (32-40) offense rocked and rolled, scoring 11 runs and beating the Bradenton Marauders 11-6.

Harrison Ray led the offense, going 2/5 with a double, a home run, three RBI and a run and adding a stolen base while Hugo Cardona went 2/3 with a triple, two walks, an RBI and two runs, stealing two bases. Dasan Brown also had two hits, going 2/6 with an RBI and two runs. Zach Britton was 1/5 with a double, an RBI and a run while Miguel Hiraldo was 1/5 with an RBI and a run and Mack Mueller was 1/3 with two walks. Steward Berroa was 1/4 with a walk, two runs and two stolen bases and Jose Rivas was 1/5 with an RBI and a run. Orelvis Martinez was 0/3 with two walks and an RBI and a run.

Naswell Paulino started, giving up just a run on three hits (one HR) and three walks with four strikeouts over three innings and Andrew Bash allowed four runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts in five innings and Gabriel Ponce allowed a run on two hits (one HR) with one strikeout in the ninth.

FCL Blue Jays 1, FCL Phillies 6

The FCL Blue Jays (12-9) ony had three hits following their 16-run outburst, losing to the FCL Phillies 6-1.

Gabriel Martinez was 1/4 with a double and Victor Mesia was 1/3 with a walk and Adriel Sotolongo went 1/3 with a walkl and an RBI. Rainer Nunez was 0/2 with two walks and a run.

Kendry Rojas started, allowing no runners and striking out three. Bejardi Meza allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits with a strikeout in one inning and Kelvin Perez followed with two scoreless innings, allowing two hits. Guillermo Villasmil allowed three runs (one earned) on one hit with two walks and a strikeout and Brayan Mejia finished retiring both batters he faced.

DSL Blue Jays 2, DSL White Sox 4

The DSL Blue Jays (5-5) lost to the DSL White Sox 4-2.

The Blue Jays had just six hits with a double from Luis Garcia (1/4) whiel Yeuni Munoz was 1/3 with a walk and two RBI. Manuel Beltre was 1/5 with a run and Victor Arias was 1/4. Martin Gimenez was 1/4 at shortstop and Francisco Veracierto was 1/4.

Darwin Cruz started, giving up just one run on two hits (one HR) and one walk with four strikeouts in four innings while Sergio Caruci only allowed a run on three hits with a walkl and two strikeouts in two innings. Neiyerbe Obeso allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and two walks in 1 1/3 innings, striking out two and Yondrei Rojas went 1 2/3 innings, allowing a hit and striking out three.
