Kirby Snead

On Sunday, only the full-season Toronto Blue Jays minor league affiliates were in action, going 2-2 with a couple of ugly losses in A-ball.

Buffalo Bisons

Roster Notes: Connor Law was promoted from Vancouver to New Hampshire and Will McAffer was sent to Vancouver.

Vancouver Canadians

Roster Notes: Connor Law was promoted to New Hampshire from Vancouver and Will McAffer was sent back to Vancouver from New Hampshire.

Dunedin Blue Jays

FCL Blue Jays 16, FCL Tigers East 3

The FCL Blue Jays (12-8) started by tallying five runs in the first inning and didn’t let off the gas pedal until the game was over, beating up on the FCL Tigers East 16-3.

Catcher JJ D’Orazio was4/4 with a walk, three RBI and three runs, adding a sac fly while three other Blue Jays had three hits apiece. Amell Brazoban was 3/4 with two doubles and a triple, walking once and scoring three times and Angel Del Rosario was 3/5 with a walk, an RBI, four runs and three stolen bases. Glenn Santiago was 3/4 with a double, three RBI and two runs, stealing a base and hitting two sac flies and Jhon Solarte was 2/5 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI and two runs. Justin Ammons was 1/2 with a double and two RBI while Emmanuel Sanchez was 1/4 with a walk and two RBI. Rainer Nunez was 0/4 but walked twice, drove in a run and scored once.

Yaifer Perdomo started and went four innings with two runs allowed on five hits and three walks, striking out three. Wilgenis Alvarado went two scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk with two strikeouts while Elieser Medrano struck out two in the seventh. Marc Civit allowed a hit and struck out one in the eighth and Stephen Vargas gave up a solo home run in the ninth, adding a strikeout.

DSL Blue Jays 5, DSL White Sox 1

In a seven-inning contest, the DSL Blue Jays beat the DSL White Sox 5-1.

Second baseman Luis Garcia led the attack, going 3/4 with a double and a run while Yhoangel Aponte went 2/3 with a double, a walk and a run. Francisco Fajardo also had a pair of hits, going 2/3 with a double and a run. Cristian Feliz was 1/4 with a run and Yeuni Munoz was 0/2 but walked twice and scored. Catcher Jonathan Peguero was 1/3 and Manuel Beltre was 0/3 but hit a sac fly and drove in a run.

Johan Simon had a stellar start, striking out six over five innings and giving up just a hit and a walk. Keiner LLeon allowed the White Sox’ only run, allowing two hits (one HR) with a wakl and two strikeouts in one inning. Angel Santana pitched a clean seventh to finish the game.
