In five games in the Toronto Blue Jays’ minor league system, the club was 4-1.

Buffalo Bisons 9, Syracuse Mets 2

A day after being shut out, the Buffalo Bisons (65-35) finished their series with the Syracuse Mets on a high note, beating them 9-2.

The Bisons rocked the Mets for 13 hits including a pair of home runs with Logan Warmoth (2/2, HR, BB, 3 RBI, 2 R, SB) and Christian Colon (2/4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, SF) going deep. Richard Urena had a pair of hits, going 2/5 with a double, two RBI and a run while Cullen Large was 2/5 with a double. Kellin Deglan was 2/3 with a walk, a sac fly, and an RBI. Forrest Wall was 1/5 with a run, Tyler White was 1/2 with a double, three walks and two runs, and Nash Knight was 1/5 with a run.

Starter Casey Lawrence was strong, going five innings and giving up just one run on two hits (one HR) with four strikeouts. He turned it over to Nate Pearson who allowed a solo home run and a walk in his inning. Anthony Castro struck out one and allowed a hit in his inning and Hobie Harris struck out one in the eighth. Jacob Barnes walked one in the ninth to finish it off.

Vancouver Canadians 4, Tri-City Dust Devils (LAA) 6

The Vancouver Canadians (44-52) were beaten 6-4 by the Tri-City Dust Devils to finish off their series on Sunday.

Eric Rivera had a pair of hits, going 2/4 with a run while Rafael Lantigua was 1/4 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run. Spencer Horwitz was 1/4 and Orelvis Martinez was 1/4 with an RBI and a run. Luis De Los Santos was 1/4 with a double and an RBI and Zac Cook was 1/3 with a double, a walk and an RBI.

Canadian Canadian Alex Nolan started and allowed five runs on nine hits (one HR) with four strikeouts in four innings. Hayden Juenger gave up a a run on two hits in two innings but struck out five without walking anyone. Hagen Danner gave up a hit and a walk and struck out three in his two innings and Roither Hernandez allowed a hit and struck out one in the ninth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (MIN) 10

After a couple of close victories against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, the Dunedin Blue Jays (43-52) lost 10-5 on Sunday to close out their series.

Three Blue Jays had two hits apiece with Hugo Cardona going yard, hitting his second of the year and going 2/3 with an RBI and a run. Miguel Hiraldo was 2/5 with a double, an RBI and a run and Steward Berroa was 2/5 with an RBI and a run. Zach Britton was 1/4 with a double and a walk while PK Morris was 1/5. Catcher Jose Ferrer was 1/4 with a double and a run and Mack Mueller was 1/4 with a run and a stolen base.

Naswell Paulino opened a long parade of pitchers, allowing four runs on six hits (one HR) with three walks and three strikeouts in three innings. Rafael Monsion allowed three hits and struck out one in two innings and Jimmy Burnette allowed a hit and a walk but didn’t allow a run, striking out three in two innings. Julian Valdez took the loss, giving up five unearned runs on four hits and a walk with one strikeout in 2/3 of an inning and Elieser Medrano gave up a hit and allowed his one inherited runner to score in 1/3 of an inning. Matt Svanson walked four in 2/3 of an inning, allowing a run and striking out one before Elixon Caballero stranded the bases loaded, striking out the only batter he faced to end the game.
