September 1 had a big contingent of Buffalo Bisons returning to Toronto to help the club down the stretch and Dalton Pompey did just that, making an impact at the big league level as a pinch runner in the bottom of the eighth inning. Dunedin swept a double header but the day-time match up with the GCL Blue Jays who were trying to continue their Best-of-3 Final series with the GCL Red Sox was washed out.

On the mound, Todd Redmond gave up three home runs in 6 1/3 innings on a shorthanded squad, giving up five runs on 10 hits. Bobby Korecky surrendered another two runs over 1 2/3 innings and Chad Girodo pitched a scoreless ninth for his Triple-A debut.
