The Lansing Lugnuts got a huge win as the Blue Jays’ minor league clubs won two of five games.
Buffalo Bisons 0, Rochester Red Wings 2
The Buffalo Bisons only had four hits over the course of their nine innings and didn’t score in a 2-0 loss to the Rochester Red Wings. Tim Lopes, Lourdes Gurriel, Rowdy Tellez and Danny Jansen had the club’s only hits.
Chris Rowley had a strong start, throwing six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on seven hits with seven strikeouts, a season high. Conor Fisk kept his ERA at 0.00 after giving up just a hit in two innings of work, striking out one.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Hartford Yard Goats 5
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost the opener of their double header against the Hartford Yard Goats despite getting a home run from Juan Kelly. Kelly was 1/3 with two RBI while Jonathan Davis was 1/2 with two walks and a run, stealing his 15th base of the year. Max Pentecost hit a double and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. drove in a run, going 1/3.
Nick Tepesch had a strong start, giving up only two runs on three hits, including a home run, and one walk. Kirby Snead took the loss, giving up three runs on three hits and a walk in the seventh.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4, Hartford Yard Goats 1
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats turned the tables on the Hartford Yard Goats earning a split of the double header by winning Game 2 4-1. Jordan Barrett got a call up from extended spring training and tossed 3 1/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts in his first game above Rookie Ball. Nick Hartman got the win, throwing two scoreless innings despite giving up four hits and two walks with a strikeout. It was “Case Closed” for Andrew Case as he secured the win with his third save, striking out three in 1 2/3 innings.
Juan Kelly went deep a second time on the day, driving in two runs and going 1/2 with a walk. Cavan Biggio was 2/3 with an RBI and a run while Vladimir Guerrero got on base for the 35th consecutive game and finished with a .431 batting average after going 1/3 with a run. Bo Bichette was 1/2 with a walk and a run.

Dunedin Blue Jays 2, Lakeland Flying Tigers 3
The offense deserted the Dunedin Blue Jays as they lost 3-2 to the Lakeland Flying Tigers, getting only four hits in the game. Ivan Castillo had two of them, driving in a run while John La Prise was on base twice, going 1/3 with a walk and a run. Rodrigo Orozco had the only other hit and Nash Knight drove in the club’s second run.
In his Florida State League debut, Yennsy Diaz took the loss, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts in a solid start. Connor Law allowed a hit and a walk but no runs in 1 2/3 innings and Ty Tice allowed a hit and struck out two over two innings at the end of the game.

Lansing Lugnuts 12, Fort Wayne TinCaps 11
The Lansing Lugnuts won on a misplayed ball in the bottom of the 10th inning, scoring Brock Lundquist to give the Lugnuts a huge, 12-11 come-from-behind win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Matt Morgan had probably his best day as a pro, going 4/5 with four RBI and a run. Brandon Grudzielanek also had four hits and added a walk, hitting a triple, driving in a run and scoring three times. Yeltsin Gudino also scored three times, going 1/5 with a double and an RBI. Kevin Smith drove in two runs, hitting a triple and going 2/6 with a run and a stolen base. Chavez Young hit two doubles, going 2/5 with a walk and a run. Ryan Noda had a pair of hits, going 2/5 with an RBI and Norberto Obeso was 2/5 with an RBI.
Colton Laws started for the Lugnuts, giving up seven runs on eight hits and a walk with two strikeouts in four innings and Andy Ravel allowed three more runs on three hits and a walk with a strikeout in two innings. Matt Shannon kept the door shut, allowing four hits but no runs in two innings and Kyle Weatherly provided a scoreless inning in the ninth, allowing a hit and a walk. Dany Jimenez allowed the placed runner to score but that was it, striking out two in the ninth.
