There were three games on the schedule on Mother’s Day with the Buffalo Bisons trying to make up a double header and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats playing against Binghamton but weather across the northeast meant that only one game was completed with a Bisons win.

 


 

Buffalo Bisons 8, Norfolk Tides (BAL) 5

 

The Buffalo Bisons scored six runs in the top of the sixth to come away from a double header with an 8-5 win against the Norfolk Tides as the second game was postponed.

Ben Revere had a monster game, going 3/4 with a double and three RBI, scoring once. Roemon Fields was 2/3 with an RBI and Alen Hanson was 1/2 with a walk, a sac bunt, a stolen base, an RBI and three runs. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was 1/3 with an RBI and a sac fly and Cavan Biggio was 1/3 with a walk and an RBI. Anthony Alford and Richard Urena were each 1/4 with a run while Jordan Patterson was 1/4 with an RBI and a run. Reese McGuire was the only player in the lineup who didn’t get a hit but he walked twice and scored once.

Ryan Feierabend started for the Bisons, going 5 1/3 innings with five runs (four earned) on five hits (including two home runs) with three walks and three strikeouts. Kirby Snead finished the sixth, retiring both batters he faced and Justin Shafer tossed a 1-2-3 seventh for the save.
