A Blue Jays win and a couple of minor league wins and we’ve got a solid night of ball in which two players just missed a cycle by a different kind of hit!

Buffalo Bisons 5, Syracuse Chiefs 6

The Bisons rallied in the top of the ninth but couldn’t quite overcome the Syracuse Chiefs despite their 14 hits. The offense was led by Ryan Goins‘s two doubles (and two singles) while Jared Goedert had three hits (all singles) and Kenny Wilson had a single and a double (and was picked off). Radhames Liz was decent, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks and Luis Ayala allowed two more runs. Ryan Tepera and Rob Rasmussen finished off the game with Rasmussen allowing an unearned run.
