The Fisher Cats and the DSL Blue Jays were the only winners with the DSL club taking advantage of some sloppy play and the Fisher Cats dominating at the plate and on the mound.
Buffalo Bisons 1, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 2
In a game that was suspended from Monday, the Buffalo Bisons couldn’t score in the last four innings and the final remained 2-1 for the RailRiders. Daniel Norris pitched a solid five innings, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts but that was enough to be the difference. Phil Coke pitched two innings in the resumption of play on Tuesday, allowing one hit and two walks with two strikeouts. Colt Hynes finished it off with another two shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out three.
The offense only had six hits including two from Sean Ochinko (2/4, 2B, RBI) and Daric Barton (2/4).

Buffalo Bisons 1, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 5
In the seven-inning nightcap of the double-header, the Bisons’ bats couldn’t get going and they lost their second game of the night to the Yankees’ Triple-A club. This time, the Bisons got seven hits including two from Caleb Gindl (a single and a double) and two from Andy Burns (both singles) with an RBI.
Chad Jenkins provided four innings of work, allowing one run on six hits with a strikeout but the RailRiders did their damage against Todd Redmond who allowed four runs in 1 1/3 innings before Rob Rasmussen shut the door, stranding his inherited runner from Richmond and striking out three in 1 2/3 innings.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 9, Akron RubberDucks 1
After a rough series against Richmond, the Fisher Cats got some great pitching and great hitting. Matt Boyd won his sixth game of the year, allowing just one run over seven innings of two-hit, two-walk ball with four strikeouts and Jimmy Cordero pitched two scoreless despite walking two.
The offense clicked for 14 hits including two home runs from K.C. Hobson who was 2/4 with three RBI and a walk. Jack Murphy was 3/4 with a double and three runs scored while Ronald Torreyes was 3/5 with a double and four RBI. Dalton Pompey added two hits (including a double), two walks and a stolen base while Jorge Flores pushed his batting average to .310 with a 2/3 game that included a walk.
Player of the Game: Matt Boyd and K.C. Hobson
Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Charlotte Stone Crabs 11
Despite tallying 12 hits, the Blue Jays couldn’t make up for a rough night for the pitchers as they fell to Charlotte. Luis Santos was tagged for six runs over 3 1/3 innings while Matt Dermody pitched 2 2/3 strong frames, allowing three hits and one walk but no runs. Brady Dragmire surrendered three runs on five hits in two innings while Phil Kish allowed two runs in one inning thanks to a two-run homer.
Jonathan Davis (J.D.) (2/5, 2B, R), Christian Lopes (2/3, BB), Dickie Joe Thon (2/4, 3B, RBI, R) and Jorge Saez (2/4, 2B, RBI, R) all had two-hit nights, Matt Dean added two RBI but struck out four times. L.B. Dantzler was on twice with a single and a walk and Mitch Nay was the only starter held hitless.

The DSL Blue Jays got themselves a walk-off win thanks to a bases-loaded wild pitch by Angelo Palumbo scoring Kevin Vicuna. Cristian Peguero and Sterling Guzman led the offense as each had a pair of hits (Guzman had a double and a single with an RBI). Juan Nunez started but only went 2/3 of an inning, walking three batters and allowing two unearned runs. Yennsy Diaz threw 4 1/3 innings without allowing a run on three hits and striking out four. Jairo Rosario went 2 2/3 innings, allowing one unearned run but walking three while Pedro Diaz walked three but in just 2/3 of an inning. Wilmin Lara finished the game, getting two outs and allowing a hit that scored one of Diaz’s inherited runners.
