The Blue Jays’ minor league clubs were 2-5 in seven games on Friday.
Buffalo Bisons 3, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 8
The Buffalo BIsons couldn’t contain the Lehigh Valley IronPigs as the ‘Pigs took over in the late innings. Chris Rowley was charged with five runs (four earned) on eight hits and four walks with two strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings to take the loss. Rhiner Cruz allowed both runners he inherited from Rowley to score but didn’t give up any runs of his own on three hits and two walks with one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Al Alburquerque allowed three runs (one earned) in the ninth, striking out one and allowing three hits and a walk.
Anthony Alford was the bright light on offense, going 3/3 with two doubles, a triple and a walk, driving in a run and scoring twice. Reese McGuire was 1/3 with a double and a walk, driving in a run and Danny Jansen was 0/2 but walked twice.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Reading Fightin Phils 5
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats fell to the Reading Fighin Philes 5-3 in action at home in Manchester. Justin Dillon was tagged for five runs in six innings, allowing 10 hits including two home runs while walking two and striking out one. Travis Bergen provided 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, striking out two batters and Dusty Isaacs finished it, giving up a hit and two walks over 1 1/3 innings, striking out one.
Bo Bichette went yard in the first inning, driving in two and going 1/5 overall while Jonathan Davis provided another multi-hit game, going 2/5 with a run and a stolen base. Cavan Biggio walked three times, going 1/2 with an RBI and a stolen base and Connor Panas was 1/4 with a double and an outfield assist.

Dunedin Blue Jays 3, Clearwater Threshers 8
With his suspension up, Thomas Pannone returned to game action with the Dunedin Blue Jays, and probably showed a bit of rust, allowing seven runs on nine hits and a walk with one strikeout over 4 2/3 innings. Juliandry Higuera allowed another run on two hits in 1/3 of an inning and Yennsy Diaz took over, pitching three almost perfect innings, giving up one hit.
Joshua Palacios hit a solo home run, going 1/5 while Rodrigo Orozco was 2/3 with a walk and an RBI and Jonelvy Molina was 2/4 with an RBI.

Lansing Lugnuts 7, Great Lakes Loons 4
The Lansing Lugnuts rallied for four runs in the bottom of the eighth to make it a second-straight victory over the Great Lakes Loons with a 7-4 win. Ryan Noda continues to make the offense going and, after a 2/4 game with a double, a home run, a walk and five RBI, Noda is now hitting .269 with a .455 OBP and a .500 slugging percentage to go with his nine home runs and 14 doubles. Yeltsin Gudino was 2/2 with two walks and a run while Matt Morgan was 1/2 with two walks and a run. Norberto Obeso was 0/2 but walked twice, stole a base and scored a run and Kevin Vicuna (1/4, RBI, R), Samad Taylor (1/4, RBI) and Brandon Grudzielanek (1/4, BB, R) had a hit each.
Donnie Sellers allowed two runs on four hits (including a home run) and a walk with five strikeouts over five innings. Emerson Jimenez allowed a run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning, leaving the bases loaded for Brody Rodning who slammed the door shut. He gave up a run of his own in the seventh inning, giving up three hits and a walk with two strikeouts over 1 1/3 frames. Claudio Custodio earned his first win of the year with two scoreless innings, striking out four and allowing just a hit and a walk.

Vancouver Canadians 2, Everett AquaSox 4
The Everett AquaSox beat the Vancouver Canadians 4-2 in afternoon action at Nat Bailey Stadium. The Canadians had just six hits including a double from Sterling Guzman who was 1/2 with a walk. Christopher Bec was 1/4 with a walk while Tanner Kirwer was 1/3 with a walk and an RBI coming from a sacrifice fly while adding three stolen bases. Mc Gregory Contreras was 1/4 with a walk and an RBI, also adding a stolen base. Brandon Polizzi was 1/1 with a walk and was hit by a pitch twice and stole three bases.
Jose Espada took the loss, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over 4 1/3 innings despite striking out eight. Denis Diaz walked two and allowed a hit and struck out one in 2 1/3 innings. Marcus Reyes gave up a hit with one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings and Justin Watts allowed a run on two hits and a walk in an inning, picking up one strikeout.

Bluefield Blue Jays 9, Burlington Royals 6
The Bluefield Blue Jays rallied on the backs of three home runs to beat the Burlington Royals 9-6 in their series opener. Luis De Los Santos (2/5, HR, RBI, 2 R, SB), Dominic Abbadessa (2/5, HR, RBI, R) and Patrick Morris (1/4, HR, BB, RBI, R) each went deep. John Aiello was 1/3 with two walks, an RBI and a double and Alejandro Kirk (1/4, BB, 2 RBI, 2B), Otto Lopez (1/5, 2B, R) and Hunter Steinmetz (1/4, 2B, BB, 2 R) each had a double. D.J. Daniels was 1/3 with an RBI and a run, hitting a sacrifice fly.
Felipe Castaneda started for the Blue Jays, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks in just three innings, striking out two. Fitz Stadler pitched two scoreless frames, allowing a walk and a hit with two strikeouts before Grant Townsend struck out five in 1 2/3 innings, walking one and allowing two unearned runs. Mike Pascoe pitched an inning, walking two and giving up a hit with a strikeout and Brad Wilson got the save, walking one and striking out two in 1 1/3 innings.

DSL Blue Jays 6, DSL Padres 13
The DSL Blue Jays had just six hits and committed four errors in a 13-6 loss to the DSL Padres on Friday. Alberto Rodriguez was the offensive star, going 2/4 with a double and a home run and driving in four runs with two runs scored. Miguel Hiraldo was 1/4 with a double and a walk while Jhon Solarte also had a double and a walk.
Lazaro Estrada allowed a run on two hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings and Williams Moreno struck out four, allowing a solo home run among three hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings. Christian Reyes faced four batters, giving up a hit and three walks and all four came around to score (three runs were earned), without getting an out. William Gonzalez also allowed four runs (none earned) on a hit and a walk with one strikeout in 2/3 of an inning and Jeison Contreras allowed three more runs (two earned) on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts in two innings. Miguel Olivo pitched in to get the last out but allowed two hits allowing all three runners left for him to score.
