The Blue Jays’ minor league clubs had a clean sweep, winning all four games they played including the Vancouver Canadians’ picking up their first win this year.
Buffalo Bisons 3, Rochester Red Wings 2
The Buffalo Bisons scored three runs including a solo home run from Anthony Alford, his first home run of the year, in a 3-2 win over the Rochester Red Wings. Alford went 1/4 and Steve Pearce, DHing, went 2/2 with a walk and Dwight Smith Jr. was 2/4. Rowdy Tellez was 1/4 with a double.
Taylor Guerrieri was on the hill to start, throwing five innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four strikeouts but he walked five. Rhiner Cruz struck out four in 1 2/3 innings, allowing just a hit. Jake Petricka gave up a hit with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings and Justin Shafer picked up his fifth save, striking out one in the ninth.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 9, Altoona Curve 1
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats brought the lumber and the pitching staff behind Jon Harris pitched a strong game in a 9-1 Fisher Cats win. Andrew Guillotte was 3/4 with a double and a run while Juan Kelly was 2/3 with a walk and two RBI with two runs. Jonathan Davis also had a pair of hits, going 2/4 with a double, driving in two and scoring once and Harold Ramirez was 2/4 with a walk and an RBI, a run and a stolen base. Jon Berti was on base twice, going 1/4 with a walk and a stolen base while Bo Bichette was 1/5 with an RBI, a run and his 21st stolen base. Cavan Biggio hit his 15th home run in the ninth inning, going 1/5. Gunnar Heidt also pitched in with a 1/4 game, driving in two runs and taking a walk.
Jon Harris threw six strong innings, allowing just one run on five hits (including a home run) while striking out three. Andrew Case went two innings, giving up two hits and a walk with a strikeout and Jose Fernandez walked two but pitched a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts to finish the game.

Off for the All-Star Break
Lansing Lugnuts 8, South Bend Cubs 4
Ryan Noda hit his eighth home run of the year, leading the Lansing Lugnuts to an 8-4 victory as they head into the All-Star Break. Noda was 3/4 with a walk, three RBI and a run while Yeltsin Gudino hit two doubles, going 2/4 with two RBI and a run. Reggie Pruitt, hitting at the top of the order, was 2/4 with a walk and a run and a stolen base (but was also caught stealing). Brandon Grudielanek was 13/ with two walks and two runs.
Colton Laws got his fourth win, throwing five innings and surrendering three runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Kyle Weatherly walked two but that was all the damage against him in two innings. Matt Shannon gave up a run on two hits and a walk and Claudio Custodio allowed a hit in the ninth.

Vancouver Canadians 6, Eugene Emeralds 4
The Vancouver Canadians notched their first win, beating the Eugene Emeralds 6-4 on Sunday. Mc Gregory Contreras broke out with two solo home runs, going 2/4 and Nick Podkul was a home run short of the cycle, going 3/5 with a single, a double and a triple, scoring twice and driving in a run. Christopher Bec was 2/5 with a run and a stolen base and Tanner Kirwer was 2/5 with a double and a run. Reilly Johnson was 2/5 with a double and a walk, driving in a run. Jesus Navarro was 1/4 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base.
Jordan Barrett started and threw 4 2/3 innings, allowing a run on three hits and a walk with five strikeouts before Canadian Will McAffer relieved him, throwing 1 1/3 innings, walking two and striking out two. Orlando Pascual allowed three runs on four hits with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings and Connor Law picked up the save, striking out four in 1 2/3 innings, giving up a hit.
