The Buffalo Bisons and New Hampshire Fisher Cats were off for their All-Star Break and the rest of the Jays’ organization was 5-1 on Monday.

Dunedin Blue Jays 7, Clearwater Threshers 0
Maverik Buffo made a huge impression in his Florida State League, leading the Dunedin Blue Jays to a 7-0 win over the Clearwater Threshers. Buffo went eight shutout innings, giving up just three hits and a walk with five strikeouts before handing the ball over to Jake Fishman. Fishman allowed a hit but got a double play and a strikeout in sealing the victory with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Kevin Smith gave the Blue Jays a lead out of the gate, hitting his eighth home run, a solo shot, with the D-Jays, finishing 2/4 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs. Riley Adams went deep in the Blue Jays’ six-run third inning, hitting a grand slam for his fourth home run of the year, going 2/4 with four RBI. Rodrigo Orozco was 3/4 with an RBI, a run and a stolen base while Ivan Castillo was 2/4 with a triple and a run and Brock Lundquist had his fourth multi-hit game in a row, going 2/4 but lowering his batting average to .588 with Dunedin.

Lansing Lugnuts 3, South Bend Cubs 5
Despite getting only six hits, the Lansing Lugnuts held the game close at a 3-3 tie with the South Bend Cubs before the Cubs scored twice in the top of the eighth inning to beat the Lugnuts 5-3. Graham Spraker came off the DL to pitch 3 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with three strikeouts before Brody Rodning provided 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit and striking out one. Dany Jimenez pitched the final three innings, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk.
Samad Taylor led the offense, going 2/4 with a double and a solo home run while Jesus Navarro was 1/3 with a double and a run and Reilly Johnson was 1/3 with two RBI.

Vancouver Canadians 3, Spokane Indians 0
The Vancouver Canadians emerged victorious, beating the Spokane Indians 3-0 in a game that was shortened to six innings due to rain. Jose Espada was dominant for the Canadians, throwing five scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk with eight strikeouts. Juan Nunez earned his first save with a clean sixth.
Christopher Bec was 1/2 with a home run and two RBI while Yorman Rodriguez was 1/2 with a walk. Vinny Capra walked twice, scoring once and Tanner Kirwer was 1/1 with an HBP and a stolen base.

Bluefield Blue Jays 10, Kingsport Mets 9
The Bluefield Blue Jays’ offensive machine took a while to get going but scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game and one more in the bottom of the 10th to walk off with the win after Cal Stevenson’s walk-off walk. Stevenson was 1/5 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs. Luis De Los Santos was 2/5 with an RBI and two runs, Andres Guerra was 2/3 with two walks, a home run, two RBI and two runs, Dominic Abbadessa was 2/5 with a double and a run and Alejandro Kirk was 1/3, driving in two runs, walking twice and scoring.
Eric Pardinho was on the mound, allowing four runs in 4 1/3 innings on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. Grant Townsend came in with two of Pardinho’s runners on and allowed both to score, giving up three of his own on three hits (including a home run) and two walks with one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Andy McGuire pitched 1 1/3 clean innings and Brad Wilson allowed an unearned run on a hit with one strikeout in one inning. Brennan Price gave up a solo home run among two hits with a walk and a striking out in 1 1/3 innings in his Bluefield debut and Sean Rackoski earned the win, retiring two batters and hitting one to pick up the win.

GCL Blue Jays 6, GCL Phillies West 5
The GCL Blue Jays walked off with a victory, beating the GCL Phillies West 6-5 on an RBI single by Leonardo Jimenez in the bottom of the ninth. Dalton Pompey was 2/4 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base while Gabriel Moreno was 2/4 with a double and two RBI. Hector Guerrero was also 2/4 with a run and Addison Barger was 2/3 with a walk, an RBI and got the ninth-inning rally started.
Emanuel Vizcaino got the Blue Jays in trouble, giving up five runs on eight hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings, striking out two. Ryan Thurston stranded his inherited runner, tossing 2 1/3 innings and giving up just a walk. Anderson Nunez allowed two hits in two innings, striking out one and Jackson Rees picked up his first professional win, giving up a hit and striking out one in the ninth.

DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL Reds 1
It was a well-played game that got the DSL Blue Jays a win, beating the DSL Reds 4-1. Alexis Carmona picked up his first win, tossing five innings and giving up just a run on four hits and a walk, striking out four. Pedro Padillo walked two and struck out two in two innings. William Gonzalez finished with two clean innings, striking out three.
Pedro Hurtado was 2/3 with a double and two runs and Hanley Acevedo was 2/3 with a double and two RBI. Jhon Solarte was 1/4 with a double and an RBI.
