With the Bluefield Blue Jays playing a double header, the Blue Jays’ affiliates had nine games on the schedule but won only three on Wednesday night.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Louisville Bats 3
The Buffalo Bisons got four runs early and Nick Tepesch held the Louisville Bats at bay, coming away with a 4-3 win for The Herd. Tepesch tossed seven strong innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits without walking anyone and striking out two to earn his first Bisons win. Roberto Osuna tossed the eighth inning, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out two and Justin Shafer saved the game, giving up a run on two hits in the ninth.
Two Bisons had two hits each with Rowdy Tellez going 2/4 and Darnell Sweeney going 2/4 with a run and a stolen base. Jonathan Davis was 1/4 with a double and two RBI while Richard Urena was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI and a run. Gio Urshela drove in the game’s other run, going 1/3 with a sacrifice fly.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 7, Hartford Yard Goats 3
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats’ newest member helped to power the club to a 7-3 win over the Hartford Yard Goats. Forrest Wall joined the Fisher Cats and went deep, hitting his first home run for his new club, going 1/4 with a walk and the solo shot. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was 2/4 with a solo shot of his own, taking a walk. Max Pentecost was 3/5 with a double and two RBI, scoring a run and Harold Ramirez continues to swing a hot bat, going 3/5 with three doubles and an RBI, scoring a run and stealing a base. Jon Berti was 2/4 with two triples and two RBI.
Jon Harris started for the Fisher Cats, going six innings and giving up two runs on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts to get his eighth win. Nick Hartman struck out two in the seventh and Zach Jackson struck out two in the eight but he gave up a run on a hit. Danny Young allowed a hit and finished the game, pitching the ninth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 3, Jupiter Hammerheads 9
The Dunedin Blue Jays got a home run from Brock Lundquist but it wasn’t enough as they fell 9-3 to the Jupiter Hammerheads. Lundquist had a 3/4 game, hitting the solo blast and scoring twice. Joshua Palacios was 2/5 with a stolen base and Kacy Clemens drove in two runs despite going 0/3.
Connor Eller only last 2/3 of an inning, allowing four runs but only one was earned, giving up of three hits and a walk. Juliandry Higuera followed and allowed two runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. Ty Tice struck out four in three innings of relief, facing the minimum. Andy Ravel walked four in 2/3 of an inning, allowing a hit and three runs and infielder Nash Knight finished the game, getting the final out, allowing a hit and stranding two runners.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, South Bend Cubs 1
Graham Spraker authored a gem for the Lansing Lugnuts as they defeated the South Bend Cubs 2-1. Spraker went seven innings, giving up five hits and two walks with four strikeouts, not allowing a run before Orlando Pascual walked one in the eighth. Matt Shannon struck out three in the ninth but also gave up a run on a hit and two wild pitches.
The Lugnuts had just six hits as a club including two from Ryan Gold that included a single and a double. Norberto Obeso drove in both runs, going 1/4 with a stolen base. Samad Taylor was 1/5 with a double and Kevin Vicuna was 1/2 with a walk and a run.

Vancouver Canadians 2, Everett AquaSox 3
After the Vancouver Canadians tied up the game at two in the top of the eighth, the Everett AquaSox showed that they wouldn’t be pushed around on home turf, walking off with a 3-2 win on a game-winning home run. Mc Gregory Contreras provided all of the offense for the Vancouver Canadians, hitting two solo home runs and going 2/3. Jesus Severino was 1/3 with a double and Bryan Lizardo was 1/3 with Tanner Kirwer getting the club’s only other hit, a double.
Nick Allgeyer took the hill and tossed two innings, allowing a walk with two strikeouts before Juan Nunez took over. Nunez allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings and Marcus Reyes pitched a solid eighth, allowing a hit before the first batter he faced in the ninth hit a solo home run to win the game.

Bluefield Blue Jays 6, Bristol Pirates 7
The Bristol Pirates scored three runs over the last two innings to take over the lead and beat the Bluefield Blue Jays 7-6. D.J. Daniels had a great game for the Blue Jays, going 3/4 with a home run and two RBI. D.J. Neal had two hits, an RBI, a run and threw a runner out at second base while Rafael Lantigua was 2/3 with a double, two runs and a stolen base. Dominic Abbadessa was 2/5. Alejandro Kirk was 1/3 with a double, a walk and a run.
Cre Finfrock allowed four runs in 1 2/3 innings, walking four, allowing four hits and striking out three. Mike Pascoe stranded two runners, throwing 1 1/3 innings, allowing a walk and striking out one. Troy Watson threw four scoreless innings, giving up three hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Grant Townsend allowed two runs on three hits in 1/3 of an inning and Sean Rackoski gave up a run on three hits (including a home run) and two walks with one strikeout in 1 2/3 innings.

GCL Blue Jays 6, GCL Pirates 5
The GCL Blue Jays went to 10 innings, scoring twice in the top half and only allowing one run in the bottom to defeat the GCL Pirates 6-5. Gabriel Moreno hit three doubles, going 3/5 with two RBI and a run while Leonardo Jimenez was 2/4 with a walk, a run and an RBI and Steward Berroa was 2/5 with two runs. Addison Barger was 3/4 with a walk, an RBI and a double.
Rafael Monsion was on the hill to start, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks before Alexander Molina threw three no-hit innings, walking one. Jackson Rees blew the save, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits with one strikeout over two innings but got the win.

DSL Blue Jays 11, DSL White Sox 12
In a slugfest that saw three home runs in the game, the DSL Blue Jays dropped a close one to the DSL White Sox, 12-11 on Thursday. Alberto Rodriguez was 2/3 with a home run, three walks, two RBI and three runs, stealing two bases. Miguel Hiraldo was 3/5 with a walk, a double and four runs, stealing a base. Erickvi Celedonio was 2/5 with a triple and four RBI, scoring once. Geyber Jimenez was 2/6 with two doubles and an RBI. Jhon Solarte was 1/4 but walked twice, stole two bases and scored twice. Rainer Nunez was 1/3 with a walk and two RBI.
Adrian Hernandez started, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts in four innings. Sergio Leon gave up three runs on three hits and a walk in the fifth and Pedro Padilla allowed three more runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks in 2 1/3 innings before William Gonzalez finished the game, getting the final two outs, walking one and striking out one.
