In three games today, the Blue Jays’ affiliates lost them all. And, another move was made sending down a player from the big league team and calling up a Buffalo Bison.
Buffalo Bisons 0, Durham Bulls 7
The Buffalo Bisons’ bats were quiet as they faced the Durham Bulls, getting just four hits (including one extra-base hit) on the day. Munenori Kawasaki was on base three times with a hit and two walks but he also made a fielding error. Andrew Albers made the start and was strong, allowing just one run on five hits and two walks (with a solo home run accounting for the run) over five innings. Rob Rasmussen got into trouble in the sixth, allowing three runs and Greg Infante couldn’t put out the first, allowing another pair. Colt Hynes and Bobby Korecky finished out the game.
Roster Notes: Jonathan Diaz was demoted from Toronto and 1B/OF Chris Colabello was promoted. Bobby Korecky was activated off the DL and Luis Perez was send down to New Hampshire.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 9, Reading Fighting Phils 11
In a slugfest in Reading, the Fisher Cats came up just short despite rallying for runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings. Austin Bibens-Dirkx was rocked to the tune of seven runs on nine hits (including two home runs) over three innings despite five strikeouts and Arik Sikula, fresh off the DL, allowed four runs on five hits in one inning. Luis Perez made his return to New Hampshire with three strong innings, allowing just one hit and one walk with three strikeouts and Cory Burns finished the game with a hitless eighth, striking out two.
The news was much rosier on the offensive side of the ball as the Fisher Cats socked 19 hits with all of the starters getting at least one except for Matt Newman who still managed to drive in two runs. Jorge Flores led the hit parade with four hits (including a double) and K.C. Hobson and Pierce Rankin each had three singles with Rankin adding a walk and scoring three times. Jake Fox was 2/4 with a double, two walks and two runs scored while Christian Lopes was 2/3 with a walk and two RBI. Emilio Guerrero was 2/5 with a walk and Jon Berti was 2/4 with a double, a walk and two RBI.
Roster Notes: Mike Lee was placed on the 7-day DL and Luis Perez was demoted from Buffalo to New Hampshire. Arik Sikula was activated off the DL and Dustin Antolin was placed on the 7-day DL.
Player of the Game: Jorge Flores
Dunedin Blue Jays 3, Tampa Yankees 9
The Tampa Yankees scored early and often, plating runs in every inning but the second and fifth on their way to a 9-3 drubbing of the Dunedin Blue Jays. Murphy Smith was the primary victim, allowing five run sin four innings on eight hits. Alberto Tirado managed to keep the game in reach, allowing just one unearned run on two hits in two innings with three strikeouts. Brady Dragmire surrendered the final three runs in just one-plus innings and Chad Girodo finished it off with an inning, stranding two inherited runners and striking out a pair.
The batters scored their three runs on eight hits and six walks with Ian Parmley getting on base three times with a 2/4 game that also included a walk and a stolen base. L.B. Dantzler was 1/3 with two walks and David Harris was 2/4 with a double. Mitch Nay and Dawel Lugo drove two of the runs with the third coming in on a throwing error in the ninth inning.
Roster Note: Jayson Aquino was designated for assignment to make room for Chris Colabello on the 40-man roster.
