Batting Average

 

Danny Jansen (Dunedin) leads the organization with a .407 batting average. He’s got multiple multi-hit games including in seven of his last 10 games and, just when you thought he was cooling off in the middle of April with two back-to-back oh-fers, he launches into another torrid period that included all three of his home runs to date.

Runners up: Bradley Jones (Lansing) – .372; Bo Bichette (Lansing) .371

 

 

Doubles

 

Derrick Loveless (New Hampshire) leads the charge here with 10 doubles and a .293 average. Loveless has been promoted to New Hampshire but most of that production was accumulated in Dunedin.

Runners up: Bo Bichette – 8; Juan Kelly (Dunedin) – 8

 

Triples

 

Lane Thomas (Dunedin) has five triples and is definitely having a rebound year for the Blue Jays at a level he hasn’t played at yet, hitting .276 with a healthy .360 OBP and .506 SLG.

Runner up: Bradley Jones – 2; 14 players tied with 1

 

Home Runs

 

There’s a two-way tie for the organizational home run lead with the already mentioned Bradley Jones leading the Lansing Lugnuts with six home runs and Max Pentecost leading the Dunedin Blue Jays with six. Pentecost is on a tear and hitting for more power than he ever has while also getting into games defensively for the first time since 2014.

Runners up: Edward Olivares (Lansing) – 4; Jason Leblebijian (Buffalo) – 4; Mike Ohlman (Buffalo) – 4

 

RBI

 

Bradley Jones has a massive lead in this category with 23 and, despite the high-powered Lansing Lugnuts offense, none of his teammates has more than 14. Jones is off to an outstanding start to his season after leading the Appalachian League in home runs last year. He’s currently hitting .372 with a .415 OBP and a .674 slugging percentage.

Runners up: Lane Thomas – 16; Max Pentecost – 16

 

Walks

 

Jake Thomas (Lansing) leads the world in walks with 20, thanks to his Eye of the Tiger. Thomas is leveraging his solid hitting (.308 BA) to get more playing time as he’s repeating the season in Lansing.

Runners up: Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. (Lansing) – 14; Derrick Loveless – 14

 

Strikeouts

 

J.B. Woodman of the Lansing Lugnuts is hitting well but also striking out a whole bunch with 37 Ks in 86 at bats.

Runners up: Christian Williams (Lansing) – 34; Matt Dean (Dunedin) – 27

 

Stolen Bases

 

Andrew Guillotte is the club’s leader in stolen bases with eight for the Dunedin Blue Jays. Guillotte is also hitting .322 with seven doubles so he’s contributing extremely well for the D-Jays.

Runners up: Anthony Alford (New Hampshire) – 7; Roemon Fields (New Hampshire/Buffalo) – 7

 

On-base Percentage

 

Jake Thomas’s 20 walks gives him a .532 OBP, leading the organization for players with significant playing time.

Runners up: Bo Bichette – .463; Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. – 459

 

Slugging Percentage

 

Brad Jones’s .674 slugging percentage is tops in the org.

Runners up: Max Pentecost – .618; Jason Leblebijian – .587
