FCL Blue Jays 3, FCL Phillies 5

The FCL Blue Jays (23-23) lost on Monday to the FCL Phillies, dropping their Labour Day game 5-3.

Rainer Nunez led the way with a pair of hits, including a home run and going 2/5 with an RBI and a run. Gabriel Martinez was 1/4 with a walk and an rBI, hitting a double while Jaden Rudd was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI, a run and a stolen base. Amell Brazoban was 1/2 and Damiano Palmegiani was 1/1.

Geison Urbaez allowed just two hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings and Bejardi Meza took the loss, giving up all five runs (four earned) on two hits (one HR) with three walks and four strikeouts in two innings. Soenni Martinez finished it, striking out four in two innings.

DSL Blue Jays 5, DSL Reds 10

The DSL Blue Jays (22-15) dropped their game on Monday, falling 10-5 to the DSL Reds.

The Blue Jays had seven hits in the loss including a triple by Manuel Beltre (1/4, R) and doubles by Yeuni Munoz (1/2, 2 BB, RBI) and Robert Robertis (1/3, R). Jonathan Peguero was 1/3 with a run and Francisco Fajardo was 2/4 with two RBI and two runs. Yhoangel Aponte had the club’s other hit, going 1/4.

The starter was Angel Santana who logged two innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts in two innings. Nathanael Perez allowed two runs on three hits with a walk and four strikeouts in three innings and Jean Lopez allowed four unearned runs on five hits with a strikeout in four innings.
