There were only two games played by the Blue Jays’ minor league affilates with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats playing both of them, splitting a double header with the Harrisburg Senators.

 

Buffalo Bisons, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs

 

Game postponed due to rain.

Roster Notes: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was optioned to Buffalo and Deck McGuire was called up to Toronto.

 

 

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 6, Harrisburg Senators 1

 

In Game 1 of their two-game set, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat up on the Harrisburg Senators, winning 6-1. Sean Reid-Foley was on the mound but wasn’t at his sharpest despite giving up just one run in four innings. He walked five and gave up three hits but also struck out seven, giving up 92 pitches (49 for strikes) at the end of four innings. Jose Fernandez tossed the next two frames, limiting the Senators to one hit and one walk with three strikeouts and Justin Shafer shut the door, walking one and giving up a hit with one strikeout.

Jonathan Davis drove the offense, going 3/4 with a double and a run while Cavan Biggio was 2/4 with his 10th home run of the year, driving in three and scoring twice. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was 2/4 with two runs. Harold Ramirez was 1/3 with a double, a sac fly and an RBI and Max Pentecost was 1/4 with a triple and an RBI. Andrew Guillotte was on base twice, going 1/2 with a walk. Bo Bichette continues to struggle, seeing his batting average fall to .264 with an 0/4 game, striking out three times.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Harrisburg Senators 2

 

TJ Zeuch

Vladimir Guerrero had another two hits for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, pushing his average to .397 while the club fell 2-1 to the Harrisburg Senators in the second half of the double header. Connor Panas had the team’s other two hits, hitting a double.

T.J. Zeuch had a solid outing in his second Double-A appearance, tossing six innings of one-run ball, walking two and striking out four, allowing six hits (including a solo home run) while getting eight outs via the ground and four on fly balls. Dusty Isaacs took the loss, giving up a run on a hit and two walks in 2/3 of an inning with one strikeout as the Senators walked it off.
