It was a clean sweep on Wednesday as the Blue Jays’ minor league teams went 0-5 for the day.
Buffalo Bisons 7, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 8
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat as they walked off the Buffalo Bisons 8-7. Dwight Smith Jr. had a big game for the Bisons, going 3/4 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and three runs scored. Lourdes Gurriel also had a home run, going 2/4 with a double, a hit-by-pitch, two RBI and two runs. Jason leblebijian was 1/3 with a walk and an RBI and Reese McGuire was 1/3 with a walk.
Ryan Borucki tossed seven innings, giving up five runs on five hits (including a home run) and four walks, striking out four. Al Alburquerque struck out two in the eighth and Tim Mayza was tagged for three runs on four hits in the final 2/3 of an inning in the ninth.

Roster Notes: Dusty Isaacs was sent back to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Taylor Guerrieri began serving a suspension.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Akron RubberDucks 8
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were handed their hats by the Akron RubberDucks who defeated the visiting ‘Cats 8-2. Jordan Romano was plastered for seven runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts over 4 2//3 innings. Zach Jackson finished the fifth, stranding Romano’s runner but he allowed a run on a hit and three walks in the sixth. Nick Hartman pitched a solid seventh, walking one and striking out two while Kirby Snead gave up a hit with a strikeout in the eighth.
Gunnar Heidt led the offense with three hits including a double while Jonathan Davis was 2/4 with a double and a walk. Bo Bichette hit a double, going 1/4 with a run and Cavan Biggio was 1/3 with a walk and an RBI.

Roster Notes: Brayden Bouchey was sent to Lansing and Dusty Isaacs came back to New Hampshire from Buffalo.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Charlotte Stone Crabs 6
A big name took the mound for the Dunedin Blue Jays and, despite not giving up a hit until the fourth, the Jays lost to the Charlotte Stone Crabs 6-5. Marcus Stroman made his first appearance on the mound in a long time and didn’t give up a hit through three despite walking three batters, he gave up two runs on a hit and four walks (including a solo home run) over 4 1/3 innings with three strikeouts. Jonathan Cheshire allowed a run on two hits in 2/3 of an inning before Angel Perdomo came in for two innings, allowing a run on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts. William Ouellette allowed an unearned run on a hit with a strikeout in the eighth and Andy Ravel gave up a run on two hits with a strikeouts in the ninth.
Joshua Palacios was 2/3 with a walk and a run, stealing his 10th base of the year while Kacy Clemens was 2/4 with a double and two runs. Eduard Pinto was 2/4 with an RBI and Kevin Smith didn’t have a multi-hit game but he did hit a double and scored once.

Roster Notes: Marcus Stroman was send on a rehab assignment to Dunedin and John La Prise was placed on the 7-day DL. Logan Warmoth was activated from the DL.

Lansing Lugnuts 3, Lake County Captains 11
The Lansing Lugnuts were shellacked by the Lake County Captains, losing 11-3 but Ryan Noda continued his hot streak. Noda hit his seventh home run of the year, going 1/4 with a walk and the solo shot. Brock Lundquist also hit a home run, going deep for the 11th time this season, going 1/3 with two walks and two RBI. Chavez Young was 3/5 with a double and a run, stealing his 18th base of the year and Samad Taylor was 1/3 with two walks.
Matthew Gunter started, giving up six runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Kyle Weatherly gave up five runs in the sixth inning, allowing six hits (including a home run) and walking one with one strikeout. Matt Shannon pitched a scoreless two innings, giving up a hit and a walk with one strikeout.

Roster Notes: Turner Larkins was placed on the 7-day DL and Brayden Bouchey was sent down from New Hampshire.

DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL Orioles 8
The DSL Orioles got back at the Blue Jays for their drubbing on Tuesday by returning the favour and beating the DSL Blue Jays 8-4 on Wednesday. Blue Jays’ starter Alexis Carmona took the loss, going three innings and giving up three runs on five hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Pedro Padillo allowed another three runs in 1 1/3 innings, giving up a hit and a walk. Moises De La Cruz allowed two runs in 2 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and two walks while Christian Reyes struck out three in the eighth inning and William Gonzalez allowed a hit and struck out one in the ninth.
Gustavo Ruiz, the catcher had two hits, going 2/4 with a double and an RBI while Jhon Solarte was 2/5. Jose Rivas was 1/4 with a double and an RBI and Jose Ferrer drovei n two, going 1/4.
