July 27, 2017 Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Report

Dwight Smith

The higher level minor league teams in the Blue Jays’ system were a little sluggish on Friday night as the Lugnuts were the only full-season team to win. With wins by the the GCL and DSL Blue Jays, the organization’s overall record was brought up to 3-4 with a rain out for Bluefield.

Buffalo Bisons 1, Durham Bulls 3

Chris Rowley held the Durham Bulls to just three runs but that was too much of a obstacle for the Buffalo Bisons to overcome in a 3-1 loss. Rowley went 7 2/3 innings, allowing a three run home run among five hits and one walk with three strikeouts. John Stilson came on to strand two runners and strike out two batters over the final 1 1/3 innings of the game.
