New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Harrisburg Senators 0

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats also played a double header on Tuesday, and it was a low-scoring affair against the Harrisburg Senators with each team scoring just once over the course of the night. The Fisher Cats struck first, bolstered by the brilliant performance of Jays’ prospect Conner Greene. Greene threw the (seven-inning) complete game, allowing just four hits and two walks and striking out seven.

Dwight Smith, Jr. had two hits and a stolen base while Roemond Fields hit his third home run of the year to cover all of the scoring.

In the second game of the twin bill, no one scored until the bottom of the seventh inning when Brady Dragmire, after a strong sixth inning, gave up a solo home run to lead off the bottom half, ending the game in walk-off fashion. The home run wasted a very strong five scoreless innings of work by Jeremy Gabryszwski who allowed six hits and one walk with six strikeouts while Dragmire gave up a hit but nothing more in the sixth.

The Fisher Cats only had three hits in the game, including one each by Jason Leblebijian, Dwight Smith and Ryan McBroom (his first in Double-A).

Bluefield Blue Jays 5, Kingsport Mets 4

The Bluefield Blue Jays scored five early runs and held on to defeat the Kingsport Mets for a 5-4 win. Reggie Pruitt (1/4, BB, 2 SB), Nash Knight (1/3, HR, BB) and Levi Scott (1/4, HR) had the hits. Lance Jones walked three times, scoring once and stealing two bases.

Joel Espinal allowed the first three Kingsport runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts through five innings.
