The Blue Jays’ affiliates were 2-6 in eight games on Wednesday.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Norfolk Tides 5
The Buffalo Bisons were locked in a see-saw battle with the Norfolk Tides but ultimately lost 5-4 in 10 innings. Gio Urshela was 3/5 wtih an RBI and Jonathan Davis (2/4, 2B, 2 R, 2 SB), Richard Urena (2/5, 2B, RBI, R) and Rowdy Tellez (2/4, BB, HR, RBI, R) each had two hits.
Matt Tracy gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts over six innings before Conor Fisk allowed a run on a solo home run (among two hits) with a walk and two strikeouts in two innings. Craig Breslow struck out one in the ninth and Justin Shafer took the loss, giving up an unearned run on a hit and a walk with three strikeouts in the 10th.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Trenton Thunder 3
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats finished their game against the Trenton Thunder that was suspended on April 29th. Andrew Guillotte was 2/3 with a double and a walk, scoring once while Juan Kelly was 1/1 with a two-run home run. Jon Berti, coming in for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (who started the April game), was 1/2 with two walks.
Francisco Rios started, allowing all three runs on three hits and four walks with a strikeout in three innings. Continuing the game on Wednesday, Josh DeGraaf pitched five one-hit innings, allowing two walks and striking out two. Danny Young finished it in the ninth, walking one and striking out one.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Trenton Thunder 2
Despite only four hits, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats won their seven-inning closer to their double header with the Trenton Thunder, winning 3-2. Cavan Biggio hit a two-run home run for his 0th of the year while Bo Bichette was 1/2 with a walk and a run, hitting a double and stealing his 27th base of the season. Harold Ramirez was 1/3 with a double and an RBI and Connor Panas was 1/3 with the club’s other hit.
Tayler Saucedo picked up the win, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks in six innings, striking out four while Travis Bergen earned his third save, pitching a 1-2-3 ninth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 3, Florida Fire Frogs 9
A Vlad-less Dunedin Blue Jays (as Vlad makes his way back to New Hampshire) lost 9-3 to the Florida Fire Frogs. The Blue Jays had 10 hits as a club, eight of them came from four players with Ivan Castillo (2/4, BB), Kacy Clemens (2/4, 2 R), Rodrigo Orozco (2/4, 3B, RBI, R) and Yeltsin Gudino (2/3, RBI, SF) all getting a pair. Kevin Smith was 1/3 with a walk and an RBI.
Yennsy Diaz had a rough start, allowing seven runs on eight hits (including a home run) and one walk in five innings, striking out six. Juliandry Higuera allowed a solo home run among three hits and a walk with a strikeout in two innings and Jonathan Cheshire gave up a run on two hits with one strikeout. In the ninth, Jake Fishman tossed another scoreless frame, giving up a hit and a walk but striking out two.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Peoria Chiefs 4
The Lansing Lugnuts couldn’t score until the ninth inning and by then, their two runs were too little to beat the Peoria Chiefs in a 4-2 loss. Jesus Navarro had a pair of hits, going 2/3 with an RBI while Reggie Pruitt was 1/3 with a walk, a run and an outfield assist but was caught stealing. Brandon Grudzielanek was 1/3 with a walk.
Jordan Barrett took the mound and had a solid start, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five innings. Brody Rodning pitched two scoreless frames, allowing three hits and a walk while Matt Shannon surrendered a run on three hits and a walk in the last two innings, striking out two.

Vancouver Canadians 2, Tri-City Dust Devils 1
The Vancouver Canadians pulled out a 10-inning, 2-1 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils, getting a sacrifice fly to score the winning run. Vinny Capra was 2/5 with a double and Jesus Severino was 2/4 with a double and an RBI. Nick Podkul was 1/2 with a double, two walks and a run and Brandon Polizzi drove in the winning run with a sac fly in the 10th, going 0/3 otherwise.
Elio Silva pitched five strong innings, giving up just one unearned run on three hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Nick Allgeyer walked two and gave up a hit in two scoreless frames and Cobi Johnson picked up the win, giving up a hit and striking out three in two innings. Marcus Reyes got the save, striking out the side in the 10th.

Bluefield Blue Jays 5, Johnson City Cardinals 7
Three home runs by Johnson City Cardinals’ Kevin Woodall sunk the Bluefield Blue Jays who lost 7-5. Dominic Abbadessa hit his own home run, going 2/5 with two RBI and Alejandro Kirk continues to swing a hot bat, going 2/4 with an RBI and a run. Rafael Lantigua was 1/4 with two RBI and Andy McGuire was 1/3 with a double and a walk, scoring once. Cal Stevenson also had a hit and a walk and scored.
Felipe Castaneda allowed three runs on two hits and six walks with six strikeouts in five innings, allowing two of Woodall’s home runs. Mike Pascoe gave up two more runs (including Woodall’s third blast) on three hits with one strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings and Joe DiBenedetto walked the only batter he faced. Josh Almonte gave up a pair of runs, walking three and giving up a hit in 1 1/3 innings to take the loss.

DSL Blue Jays 1, DSL Orioles 7
The DSL Blue Jays had their hats handed to them in a 7-1 loss to the DSL Orioles. Miguel Hiraldo had his best game in a while, going 2/3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run. Erickvi Celedonio drove in the only run, going 1/4 with an RBI and Pedro Hurtado had the only other hit.
Santos Moreno allowed four runs over five innings, but just one was earned as he have up six hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Christian Reyes allowed two runs on three hits and a walk in two innings, striking out one and Moises De La Cruz gave up a run on a hit and a walk in the eighth.
