In six games on Thursday, the Blue Jays’ minor league teams were 3-3 with the Dunedin Blue Jays splitting a double header.
Buffalo Bisons 4, Syracuse Chiefs 7
The Buffalo Bisons were led by Richard Urena on offense as he hit a home run but the Bisons were outscored 7-4 by the Syracuse Chiefs, opening their final series of the season. Urena was 3/4 with a double and a single as well as the home run, driving in two runs. Anthony Alford was 2/4 with a double and an RBI while Darnell Sweeney hit a triple and Dwight Smith Jr., Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Rowdy Tellez each hit a double.
Brandon Cumpton gave up all seven runs on nine hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six innings and Preston Guilmet allowed two hits with one strikeout in the final two innings.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1, Hartford Yard Goats 3
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats couldn’t score more than one run along the way to a 3-1 loss to the Hartford Yard Goats. On the mound, T.J. Zeuch allowed just two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in five innings. Kirby Snead pitched a clean sixth and Francisco Rios struck out three in two innings. Jackson McClelland gave up an unearned run on a hit with two strikeouts in the ninth.
Harold Ramirez raised his batting average to .319 by going 3/4 with a double and a run, stealing two bases and Forrest Wall was 2/3 with a stolen base.

Dunedin Blue Jays 8, Daytona Tortugas 1
Zach Logue had a strong start as the Dunedin Blue Jays beat the Daytona Tortugas 8-1. Logue tossed five innings, allowing a run on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Angel Perdomo struck out four with one hit allowed in two innings and Nick Hartman (1 IP, 2 H, 2 K) and Ty Tice (1 IP, 1 BB) each threw an inning to finish it off.
Four Blue Jays had two hits each on their way to eight runs and a win. Joshua Palacios had two hits including a double, a walk, three RBI and a run while Brock Lundquist was 2/5 with a double and an RBI. Ivan Castillo was 2/4 with a triple, two RBI and two runs and Nash Knight was 2/3 with a double, a walk and a run. Riley Adams walked three times and Logan Warmoth was 1/4 with a double and a walk.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Great Lakes Loons 3
The Lansing Lugnuts couldn’t respond to the one run that the Great Lakes Loons scored in the top of the 10th, losing 3-2. Chavez Young walked three times, going 1/2 with a run and three stolen bases while Ryan Noda was 0/3 with two walks.
Maximo Castillo allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings. Andrew Deramo struck out two in two innings and Brody Rodning allowed two hits in two innings. Brayden Bouchey took the loss, allowing an unearned run on a hit and two walks.

Vancouver Canadians 3, Everett AquaSox 9
Griffin Conine and Jesus Severino had two hits each as the Vancouver Canadians dropped their Friday afternoon game to the Everett AquaSox 9-3. Conine was 2/4 and Severino was 2/4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run. Otto Lopez, named to the Northwest League Post-Season All-Star team, was 1/4 with a double and an RBI and Tanner Kirwer was 1/3 with a walk and a run, while Mc Gregory Contreras was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI and a run.
Randy Pondler allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks in 1 2/3 innings while Fitz Stadler gave up three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Joey Pulido allowed a hit and two walks with a strikeout in two innings and Juan Nunez gave up two runs on two hits and two walks with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Will McAffer gave up a hit and struck out two in 1 2/3 innings to finish off the game.

Bluefield Blue Jays 12, Princeton Rays 7
The Bluefield Blue Jays opened the playoffs by beating the Princeton Rays by a 12-7 score after both starters were chased in the second inning, giving the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series. Eric Pardinho was pounded for six runs on three hits (including two home runs) and four walks in one inning plus five batters in the second. Joel Espinal took over, allowing all three inherited runners to score and gave up a run of his own on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. Nicolas Medina did the heavy lifting, holding Princeton to just three hits and no runs with a walk and two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings while Andy McGuire picked up the save in 2 1/3 innings of perfect ball, striking out two.
Cal Stevenson led the hit parade, going 3/5 with a home run and three runs with D.J. Neal going 3/5 with a double and two RBI, scoring three times and stealing a base and Jordan Groshans was 3/4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run. Luis De Los Santos was 3/5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs.Alejandro Kirk was 2/5 with a double, an RBI and a run and Rafael Lantigua was 2/4 with a double and a walk while Patrick Morris was 1/2 with two walks, a sac fly and an RBI.
