The Toronto Blue Jays’ minor league clubs played six games on Saturday, finishing the day with a 4-2 record.

Buffalo Bisons 6, Worcester Red Sox (BOS) 7

The Buffalo Bisons’ (56-41) struggles with the Worcester Red Sox continues as the Bisons fell 7-6 on Saturday.

Catcher Danny Jansen returned to action, going 1/4 with a three-run home run while Tyler White was 2/5 with a double, an RBI and a run. Otto Lopez was 2/4 with a walk and a run while Richard Urena was 1/4 with a double. Cullen Large was 1/4 with a double, a walk and a run and Logan Warmoth was 1/3 with an RBI on a sac fly and a run. Forrest Wall was on base three times, going 1/3 with two walks.

Righty Casey Lawrence took on the first five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits (one HR) with two walks and three strikeouts before Julian Merryweather took over. Merryweather allowed a run on two hits and a walk, striking out two in 2/3 of an inning. Kyle Johnston finished the sixth, striking out one and hitting a batter. Nate Pearson also made an appearance, allowing a run on two hits with two strikeouts in one inning and Rafael Dolis took the loss, giving up a run on a hit and a walk, striking out one. Bryan Baker finished it, striking out two in the ninth.

Roster Notes: Julian Merryweather was sent to Buffalo on a rehab assignment.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (NYM) 1

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (47-49) beat the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 5-1.

Third baseman Vinny Capra had the big blast, hitting a grand slam in the third inning, going 1/4 with four RBI. Nick Podkul was 2/4 with an RBI and Kevin Vicuna was 2/4. Demi Orimoloye was 1/3 with a walk and a run, stealing two bases and Tanner Kirwer and Reggie Pruitt were each 1/4 with a run.

Returning to the starting rotation was Johnny Barbato who tossed three scoreless innings, allowing a hit and a walk with two strikeouts. Brandon Eisert allowed a hit and struck out four in two innings and Connor Law gave up an unearned run on two hits with a walk and three strikeouts in the sixth. Marcus Reyes allowed a hit with a walk and a strikeout in two innings and Graham Spraker struck out two in the ninth.

Vancouver Canadians 6, Hillsboro Hops (ARI) 9

In another relatively high-scoring game, the Vancouver Canadians (46-55) fell 9-6 to the Hillsboro Hops.

Swinging a hot bat is Spencer Horwitz who was 2/3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and a run. Orelvis Martinez was 2/4 with a double and a run and Will Robertson was 1/3 with a home run, a walk and two RBI. Rafael Lantigua was 2/4 with a double, a walk and a run while Tanner Morris was 1/5 with a double, two RBI and a run. Eric Rivera was 1/4 with an outfield assist.

Canadian Alex Nolan was hammered in his four innings, giving up nine runs on 10 hits including four home runs with one walk and three strikeouts. Willy Gaston shut the door with three scoreless innings, striking out two and allowing two hits and Thomas Ruwe allowed a walk and struck out two in the eighth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 3, Lakeland Flying Tigers (DET) 1

The Dunedin Blue Jays (45-56) got a terrific outing from pitcher Nathanael Perez on their way to a 3-1 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers.

Perez tossed six scoreless innings, giving up just four hits and one walk with six strikoeuts. Harry Rutkowski allowed a walk and struck out two in two innings and Hunter Gregory, closing it out surrendered a solo home run among two hits with a walk and a strikeout to finish it off.

At the plate, first baseman PK Morris was the star, going 2/4 with a home run, two RBI and a run while Harrison Ray was 2/4. Steward Berroa was 2/4 with a double, a run and a stolen base and Mack Mueller was 1/4 with an RBI. Dasan Brown was 1/4 and Addison Barger was 1/4 with a run.

FCL Blue Jays 9, FCL Tigers West 3

The FCL Blue Jays scored early, getting all nine runs in the first and third innings to beat the FCL Tigers West 9-3.

Catcher Victor Mesia had a solid game, going 2/3 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs. Rikelvin De Castro also had two hits including a home run, taking a walk and driving in three. Leo Jimenez was 1/2 with a walk and a run while Trevor Schwecke was 0/3 with two walks and a run. Brock Lundquist was 1/2 with a run and Rainer Nunez was 0/2 but walked, drove in a run and scored. JC Masson was 1/4 with an RBI and a run.

Starting was Dahian Santos who went 2 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Soenni Martinez got the win with 1 1/3 innings of one-hit ball, striking out one. Connor Cooke threw an inning, walking one and striking out one and Marc Civit allowed a run on three hits with two strikeouts in his inning. Stephen Vargas allowed a walk and struck out one in his inning, as did Brayan Mejia. Jiorgeny Casimiri struck out two in his inning to finish the game.

DSL Blue Jays 7, DSL Angels 6

The DSL Blue Jays (19-12) faced off against the DSL Angels, scoring two in the top of the ninth to win 7-6.

Shortstop Manuel Beltre had a strong game, going 2/5 with a double, an RBI and a run. Yeuni Munoz was 2/4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs while Martin Gimenez was 2/4 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base. Jean Arnaez was 2/4 with an RBI and a run. Endri Garcia was 1/5 with a runand a stolen base while Cristian Feliz was 1/3 with two walks, two runs and a stolen base. Francisco Fajardo was 1/4 with a double and Yhoangel Aponte was 1/3 with a walk and an RBI.

Starting was Sergio Caruci, who went five innings and allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Gabriel Ochoa allowed three unearned runs on a hit and two walks in 2/3 of an inning and Pedro Acosta allowed an unearned run in his 1/3 of an inning. Robin De Jesus struck out one in the seventh and Angel Santana struck out one in the eighth. Frank Medina struck out two and walked one in the ninth.
