The Blue Jays’ affiliates completed nine games, winning five of them on Tuesday.
Buffalo Bisons, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders
The game was suspended in the ninth inning due to rain in a 1-1 tie.
Roster Notes: Lourdes Gurriel was sent to Buffalo to continue his rehab assignment. Preston Guilmet was activated off the DL.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Portland Sea Dogs 3
Bested in another one-run game with the Portland Sea Dogs, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats allowed a run in the bottom of the ninth to lose 3-2. Cavan Biggio was 2/3 with a walk and a double, driving in two runs and stealing a base and Max Pentecost continues his late-season surge, going 2/4 with a run. Connor Panas was on base twice, going 1/3 with a walk and Forrest Wall was 1/3 with a double and a walk.
T.J. Zeuch had a strong start, going five innings and allowing just two hits with two walks and five strikeouts, getting six ground outs and three fly outs. Corey Copping gave up two runs on three hits (including a home run) and two walks with one strikeout in 1 2/3 innings and Jackson McClelland brought the heat, striking out three and allowing one hit while stranding the bases loaded in 1 1/3 innings. Zach Jackson took the loss, allowing an unearned run as errors by Bo Bichette and Cavan Biggio allowed the run to score without a hit or walk registered.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Clearwater Threshers 1
Connor Eller picked up his seventh win with a strong outing as the Dunedin Blue Jays beat the Clearwater Threshers 5-1. Eller tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and three walks with six strikeouts to push his record to 7-5 with the D-Jays. Angel Perdomo gave up a run on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts, leaving two runners on for Jake Fishman who nailed down his eighth save with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless ball, stranding Perdomo’s two runners and racking up one strikeout.
Rodrigo Orozco had three hits, going 3/5 with a double and an RBI, scoring a run while Riley Adams drove in a pair, going 2/4 with a double and a run. Joshua Palacios was 2/5 and Kevin Smith was on twice, going 1/4 with a walk and a run.

Lansing Lugnuts 3, Bowling Green Hot Rods 7
The Lansing Lugnuts got just one hit (but three runs) in a 7-3 loss to the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Vinny Capra had the sole hit, adding a walk while Samad Taylor, Chavez Young and Norberto Obeso each walked.
Graham Spraker allowed five runs (three earned) on seven hits (including a home run) and a walk with five strikeouts over five innings to take the loss. Andrew Deramo allowed another home run, accounting for two runs (on two hits) with a strikeout in two innings while Dalton Rodriguez walked one and gave up a hit but no runs with two strikeouts in the eighth.

Vancouver Canadian 5, Tri-City Dust Devils 2
With three runs in the first inning and two in the ninth and a lot of good pitching in between, the Vancouver Canadians beat the Tri-City Dust Devils 5-2. Otto Lopez was 3/5 with a run while Tanner Kirwer was 2/5 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Jake Brodt and Nick Podkul were each 1/4 with a double and Brett Wright launched a two-run home run in the ninth inning, going 1/4. Brandon Polizzi was 2/4 with a stolen base.
Sean Wymer went three innings, allowing a run on just two hits with three strikeouts and Joey Murray gave up a run on two hits and a walk in two innings, striking out two. Justin Watts struck out three in two innings, picking up the win and Marcus Reyes and Orlando Pascual each threw a scoreless inning to finish the game.

Bluefield Blue Jays 7, Danville Braves 5
The Bluefield Blue Jays got a big game from Alejandro Kirk to beat the Danville Braves 7-5. Kirk was 4/5 with a double, four RBI and a run while Luis De Los Santos was 2/4 with two runs and a stolen base. Patrick Morris was 2/5 with a double and Cal Stevenson was 1/4 with two walks, three runs and three stolen bases. D.J. Neal had a solid day, going 1/2 with a triple, two walks, an RBI and a run and Davis Schneider was 1/3 with two walks. Rafael Lantigua was 1/4 with a walk and an RBI.
Felipe Castaneda started, going four innings and giving up two runs on six hits with four RBI. Jackson Rees allowed a run on three hits and a walk with a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings and Grant Townsend got the win, allowing a hit in 1 1/3 innings with a strikeout. Brad Wilson went two innings, allowing two runs on three hits with two strikeouts.

GCL Blue Jays 5, GCL Yankees East 4
Completing a game that was started on August 11, the GCL Blue Jays came out on top of the GCL Yankees East 5-4. Warnel Valdez hit a home run, going 1/4 with a home run and two RBI while Joseph Reyes was 1/2 with two walks and a run. Adrian Ramos was on base twice, going 1/3 with a walk, a run and was picked off and caught stealing. Steward Berroa was 1/4 with a double, two RBI and a run while Aldo Ovando also hit a double.
Ronald Magdaniel allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in the first inning and Elixon Caballero picked up a win, giving up a hit with two strikeouts in the second frame. Juan Diaz allowed four runs but only one was earned on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts in four innings and Brayan Mejia allowed a walk and struck out one in two innings. Yunior Hinojosa picked up his first save, striking out two in the ninth.

GCL Blue Jays 7, GCL Yankees East 8
Going to extra innings, the GCL Yankees East came away with a one-run victory over the GCL Blue Jays in their regularly scheduled game for Tuesday and won 8-7 in nine innings (two extra innings). Miguel Hiraldo had a breakout game for the Blue Jays, going 3/6 with a double and two runs, stealing a base while Jose Abel Hernandez was 1/4 with two doubles and three RBI. Jose Rivas was 4/5 with a triple and a run and Adrian Ramos was 2/5 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base. Troy Squires was 0/2 but walked four times and Joseph Reyes was 0/4 and walked twice.
Elixon Caballero tossed two innings, giving up two hits and striking out two before Alvery De Los Santos walked one in the third inning. Kelyn Jose made an appearance, giving up a home run and a walk to lead to two runs with one strikeout in the fourth inning. Williams Moreno allowed four runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks with one strikeout in the fifth. Alexander Molina allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks in 2 2/3 innings, striking out one and Franniel Polanco took the loss, giving up an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning.

DSL Blue Jays 3, DSL Padres 6
A new day brought about a new result. With their game suspended on August 20 with the DSL Blue Jays up 3-1 over the DSL Padres after four innings, the Padres scored five unanswered runs in the conclusion on Tuesday, coming away with a 6-3 win. Adrian Hernandez was in line for a win but finished his game after four innings, allowing a run on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Sergio Leon took the loss, giving up three run son a hit and two walks in 1 1/3 innings, striking out three and leaving the bases loaded for Juan Acosta who allowed all three runners to score, plus a run of his own on two hits in 2/3 of an inning. Jhoan Dominguez walked two and struck out one in the seventh and Jose Brito allowed a run on two walks with a strikeout in the eighth.
Anthony Rodriguez was 2/4 with an RBI and two doubles while Pedro Ventura was 2/4 with an RBI and a run. Erickvi Celedonio was 1/4 with a walk and an RBI while Alberto Rodriguez hit a double, going 1/5.

DSL Blue Jays 2, DSL Padres 1
In their regularly scheduled game, the DSL Blue Jays bested the DSL Padres 2-1. Santos Moreno tossed three innings, allowing a run on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts and Christian Reyes followed, walking two but striking out four in two innings. Pedro Guzman got the save, allowing a walk and striking out two in two innings.
Gustavo Ruiz was 1/1 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run while Hanley Acevedo was 1/2 with an RBI on a triple. Anthony Rodriguez was 0/1 with a walk and a run and Pedro Ventura was 1/2.
