The New Hampshire Fisher Cats couldn’t complete their game on Sunday but the Lansing Lugnuts played two and the Blue Jays’ minor league affiliates had a 2-2 record for the day.
Buffalo Bisons 2, Pawtucket Red Sox 0
It was a pitchers’ duel in Buffalo but righty Deck McGuire found his groove and shut down the Pawtucket Red Sox as the Bisons came out with a 2-0 win. McGuire tossed five innings, needing 90 pitches (61 strikes) and striking out nine Red Sox while giving up just two hits and three walks. Luis Santos pitched three hitless innings, walking one and striking out three and Al Alburquerque earned the save, walking one and striking out one in the ninth.
Danny Jansen was 2/2 on the day, hitting his second home run of the year. Jason Leblebijian was 2/3 and Gift Ngoepe was 1/3 with a double.

Roster Notes: The Blue Jays optioned Devon Travis to Buffalo while Carlos Ramirez was promoted to Toronto. Danny Espinosa was released and Ian Parmley was supposedly activated from the DL (there is no note on the MiLB transactions page but the Bisons tweet that out earlier in the day).

Game suspended due to wet grounds in the bottom of the third.
Dunedin Blue Jays 0, Clearwater Threshers 1
The Dunedin Blue Jays came out on the wrong end of a pitchers’ duel, losing 1-0 to the Clearwater Threshers on Sunday. It’s amazing the score wasn’t tilted even further in the Threshers’ favour as the they had 10 hits to the Blue Jays’ one. Logan Warmoth had the club’s only hit, a double, and a added a walk.
On the mound, Angel Perdomo took the loss, giving up a solo home run among four hits in five innings, walking one and striking out three. Jake Fishman allowed three hits in two innings, striking out a pair and William Ouellette allowed three hits but no runs in one inning. Kirby Snead finished with a clean ninth.

Lansing Lugnuts 1, West Michigan Whitecaps 0
In Game 1 of their double header with the West Michigan Whitecaps, Yennsy Diaz came out firing and the Whitecaps had no answer as the Lugnuts won 1-0. Diaz tossed six innings, giving up just two hits and three walks with five strikeouts. Ty Tice followed up with the save, pitching a clean seventh, striking out two.
Christian Williams was 2/3 with two doubles and a run while Brock Lundquist drove in the winning run, going 0/1 with a walk and a sacrifice fly. Kevin Smith had a double.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, West Michigan Whitecaps 3
The West Michigan Whitecaps pulled a victory out of their hat in the second game of their double header (and final game of the five-game series), beating the Lugnuts 3-2. The Lugnuts got a two-run double from Kevin Smith in the first inning but couldn’t score again the rest of the game, getting just three hits on the day. Brock Lundquist and Kevin Vicuna each had a single.
Colton Laws made his season debut, throwing four innings and giving up three runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Andy Ravel followed with an inning, giving up a hit and striking out one while Brody Rodning walked one and struck out one in the sixth.
