With all the weather happening and a couple of off days on Monday, it’s been a few days since we’ve had one of these! The Blue Jays’ minor league clubs went 1-2 in their three games.
Buffalo Bisons, Louisville Bats
Game postponed due to disgusting freezing rain-type weather and lousy field conditions.
Roster Notes: Joe Biagini was promoted to Toronto to make a spot start in Game 2 of the Blue Jays’ double header with the Kansas City Royals.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 3, Binghamton Rumble Ponies 4
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were dealt just their third loss of the season as their pitchers gave up four runs on three solo home runs in a 4-3 loss to Tim Tebow (2/4, 2 2B) and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Starter Jon Harris allowed two of those home runs and three runs over five innings, giving up seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Zach Jackson had a strong sixth, allowing a hit and striking out two while Jose Fernandez struck out one in the seventh. Justin Shafer went two innings, allowing a run on a solo shot in the eighth, giving up two hits and a walk with one strikeout.
The Fisher Cats had 10 hits with them coming in pairs for Juan Kelly (two doubles, a walk, a run and a stolen base), Andrew Guillotte (two singles, a walk and an RBI), Cavan Biggio (2/3, 3B, BB, R, SB) and Lourdes Gurriel (2/4, CS). Vladimir Guerrero was 0/5 breaking his hitting streak but Bo Bichette was 1/4 with a walk, an RBI, a run and a stolen base.

Dunedin Blue Jays 5, Fort Myers Miracle 2
T.J. Zeuch had his mojo working on Tuesday as he picked up his second win of the season, helping the Dunedin Blue Jays to a 5-2 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle. Zeuch tossed six scoreless innings, giving up five hits and two walks while picking up eight strikeouts and seven groundouts without any fly ball outs. William Ouellette gave up two run son two hits in 1 1/3 innings before Travis Bergen came in for one out, walking a batter and giving up a hit. Jackson McClelland came in with two on and shut the door, picking up his second save of the season by getting four outs, two via strikeout.
The offense got just enough, including contributions from the two rehabbing outfielders. Anthony Alford was 2/4 with a double, an RBI and a run while Dalton Pompey was 1/3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run. Nash Knight was 2/3 with a double, two RBI and a run.

Lansing Lugnuts 2, Lake County Captains 7
The Lake County Captains handed the Lansing Lugnuts their fourth loss of the season getting to starter Maverik Buffo for six runs on their way to a 7-2 win. Buffo allowed six runs on nine hits and two walks in 2 1/3 innings before Andy Ravel came on (allowing his inherited runner to score) and giving up one hit and three walks in 2 2/3. Kyle Weatherly provided three innings of strong relief, allowing only two hits and striking out two and Dany Jimenez allowed the final run (unearned) on a hit in one inning with one strikeout.
Samad Taylor had a big game with the bat, going 3/5 with a run and a stolen base while Cullen Large proved his power with a double and a home run.
